Strategic Ownership in Premier Sports Properties
UNA Sports Group acquires and operates franchise stakes in emerging and established sports platforms.
X Games Club New York
UNA Sports Group has acquired both the New York Summer and New York Winter teams of the MoonPay X Games League (XGL) in an eight-figure transaction — the first time a single ownership group has acquired two X Games teams in one market.
The New York franchise is led by Andrew Thau (Co-Founder & Partner), who serves as Governor of X Games Club New York, alongside David Rader (President) and Del Wright (CEO & Managing Partner). Together, they operate XC New York across both the Summer and Winter seasons, establishing a permanent X Games presence in one of the world’s most influential sports and cultural markets.
The launch of XGL represents a structural shift in action sports — creating a year-round, team-based, co-ed league with eight clubs competing across Summer and Winter seasons. The franchise model introduces recurring value for athletes, partners, and ownership groups through city-based teams, structured seasons, and deeper fan engagement across broadcast, streaming, live events, and digital platforms. With built-in media distribution through ESPN and ABC, XGL combines 30 years of X Games brand heritage with a modern franchise structure designed for long-term asset appreciation.
XC New York
XC New York competes in the XGL Summer Season across skateboarding and BMX disciplines. The club fields a roster of elite athletes selected through the inaugural XGL Draft, where General Manager Steve Rodriguez used the #1 overall pick to select Chloe Covell. The 2026 Summer Season begins June 26 in Sacramento, continues to Chiba, Japan, and concludes with the Championship July 24–26 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
XC New York
XC New York will field a winter roster competing across ski and snowboard disciplines beginning in the 2027 Winter Season. The winter XGL follows the same franchise-based, team model — with four clubs competing across three global stops each season.
“We’re excited to partner with X Games at a pivotal moment. The shift to a team-based model creates a strong platform for growth, fan engagement, and long-term value. This investment aligns with our strategy to combine capital and expertise to scale premier sports properties with global reach.”UNA Sports Group
